As of late

- "How have you been?"
- "Good. No, wait, I have been really shitty lately for no reason actually."
- "Yeah, me too. No reason."

Good to know I am not the only one. It's silly how we get in unexplainable funks. But we always want an explanation. I don't have one. And I have no idea how long this one is going to last.

(Sometimes I wish I could stand in front of this piece forever but then I realize I just wish I could create a feeling like this one.)

I was going through my iphoto and thinking about summertime in other places and how I have documented things. I was talking to someone recently about Coney Island in the summer. This is what it looked like through my silly little Canon Powershot when I was 16 years old.

These are the last batch of photographs from my Sleepy Hollow piece I started on a while back. The project, like most of life, did not go as planned. I was not 100% satisfied with the results but I met some lovely people along the way and fell more in love with that corky three mile stretch of Carbon Canyon. Thank you to all who spent time with my camera and I.

As of late

I finished a book in three hours the other day. It felt really good, I forgot I can do that.
I am jonesing for a southern summer and my mother's food and lightening bugs and perhaps an afternoon shower.
And I wish I could shoot a 4x5 like Sally Mann
